The Wishing Pool
Created early February 2007
The five adventurers here have finally come across the legendary Wishing Pool. It is a magical pool, which will grant your every wish. However, much like the fabled Monkey's Paw, sometimes, what you wish for can lead to disasterous, unintended results.
The image here has shown two wishes already granted. The tall guy on the right in the middle of the page wished for "The Ability To Hear The Thoughts of All Men."
What he got was four giant ears.
The guy in the upper right was worse off with his wish (as shown by him howling in pain "Aaaaaa!!!!", so much pain, in fact, that some of his pain scream is in upside down, uncontrolled letters). He wished to be the "Mightiest Spiker in his Volleyball League." At which point, the bones in his arm began to stretch, ripping and tearing his muscles and ligaments in his poor arm.
Hopefully, the other three will have learned their lesson from these first two.

Who Let the Mythos Out?
Created February 3, 2007
"And so, with that foolish act, they broke the seal, and the Earth opened up with terrible orange flame; flame that did not scar the body, but the mind. And out of the Chaos-born pit arose the Great Old Ones, born of the Cult of Cthulhu."
"And what mortal being performed this terrible, terrible act, which will wrest death and decay upon our Earthly existence?"
Well, if you ask the guy on the right, he'll tell you it was the bird with the squishy head.

Moments From Disaster
Created early February, 2007
According to ejectionsite.com, the most common reason for ejection seat failure is "Delayed Ejection Decision."
Thankfully, Little Guy made the right call and pressed the button just moments before his plane exploded into little pieces in the background. Could the strange four-wheels-and-a-transmission-shaped UFO be the ones responsible for the terrible act?
Anyway, our prayers are with you, Little Guy. Especially the prayer that says "You better open your parachute really quick, Little Guy."
Otherwise, he'll be forever known as Really Thin, Flat Guy.

Voices in my Head
Created February 3, 2007
I was worried about the frog, until I read this from BBC News.
"Contrary to traditional belief, hearing voices is not necessarily a symptom of mental illness, UK researchers at Manchester University say."
"Indeed, many who hear voices do not seek help and say the voices have a positive impact on their lives, comforting or inspiring them."
Maybe I should be a little worried; the poor frog hardly looks inspired or comforted.

Guilty!
Created January 24, 2007
A recreation of the opening scene in the 1978 classic Superman, when the leaders all pronounce General Zod and his two co-horts "Guilty" before whisking them away into the Phantom Zone by the "trippy flippy mirror thingie".

Dawn for the Huntsman
Created January 20, 2007
Before the morning light, the Huntsman arrive, and hides behind the monolith in the marsh. In the silence of the pre-dawn morning, he hears movement...his quarry awakes! But he must wait for the light of the new day before he can see his target. His family will be pleased; they will eat tonight.
Anxiously waiting, the warm glow of the rising sun just over the brim of the marsh slowly reveal his prey; he's just witnessed the arrival of the migration of the biggest frickin' duck he's ever seen.

The Avery and Ethan Collection (#6)
In Mid-January of 2007, Avery focused her skills on a series of drawings that prominently feature herself and her younger brother Ethan.
Generally, if it's one person, it's a self-portrait. If there's two; she's always the bigger one.
Here are a few selected images.
In a unique twist, this picture focuses solely on Ethan.

Hopefully Avery catches Ethan before he falls completely down!

Avery (I think) has a nice big smiley face in this one.
