Toyota Sienna, Conceptual Drawing

Created October 22, 2006

It has been said that in today's world, it is tough for an artist to make ends meet. However, if said artist can find his way into the corporate world, there is good money to be made. Case in piont: conceptualizing next-gen automobile designs.

This drawing is a front view showing the sleek new stylings of a potential future of Toyota's mini-van line. Note the low riding bumper, and the blacked-out grill, giving the placid van a air of toughness. The windshield has been adapted to maximize the driver's viewing angle by apparently overlapping 3 or four sheets of glass in a scattered way. The sliding door on the left has given way to a more traditional, open-wing hinged door.

And don't mind the raging fire and smoke coming from the right side of the car; we're still working on that.

In addition to wacky poetry of Dr. Suess, they apparently also read the classics, such as the epic poetry of the ancient Greeks; in this case, Homer's Odyssey.

I look forward to the artistic renderings from the tale of Oedipus.

I had asked My Budding Artist what she was drawing when I saw this picture. She replied, "It's me." How can you argue with that.
